My job on a day to day basis is too keep them active and socialized so what I want to know is there any activities out there that are age appropriate but easy for people to do? Please help…

Have you looked for icebreaker type games?
http://wilderdom.com/games/Icebreakers.html has a few good ones.
Most aren’t incredibly complex and they’re all about working together.
Animal sounds and Zoom sound like decent games, but it all depends on how alert the individuals you’re dealing with are. The good thing is, most icebreaker games are for adults in business type settings, so you’re not likely to run the risk of it being too childish.

is there any funding involved?
if so,woud recommend checking out ROMPA: http://www.rompa.com/cgi-bin/rompa.storefront
as we use them here [am a resident of an autistic residential centre],theres also TFH: http://www.specialneedstoys.com/index2.html which is probably more worldwide friendly than rompa.
they both have so much awesome equipment for sensory integ, relaxing, or activities, but the reason have mentioned the funding is theyre both especially aimed at residentials, day centres, special schools etc who can get the money for them through funding or fund raising so they are not very cheap for the non funded or home buyer.do they get to go out during the day as part of the service?
what about visits to parks suitable to their needs? or soft play areas or sensory room visits?what about looking around for free plants, seeds, flowers etc to put in the garden or in large pots if there is no garden, and get them all doing a bit of gardening? we do that here,we have raised beds [or whatever they are called] and they are at wheel chair user height for those that need it,we have found free trees and a lot of plants off one person on preloved recently, and we have got some free baby trees ordered from a toilet roll company [velvet] doing a promo on tree planting,so if look around may be able to find something, dont know if craigslist woud have any [thats american free ads site isnt it?].
freecycle and freegle are other ones to get stuff like that for free though,in fact that may be a way to put up wanted posts for any activitity items are needing!
