My man just got himself a new job. He has always hated the business casual dress code. He wants instead to wear a suit a suit and tie. Is it a bad idea for him to dress that formally when nobody else does.

I dont think so, I think it shows an strong initiative for professionally. However, if anyone brings it up and thinks it’s off, maybe wear jeans with his suit jacket and tie? It “casualizes” the business attire.

  1. I think that’s a good thing that he wishes to dress better. Nothing wrong with that. It shows he’s more motivated than others, plus it’s nice to not always wear jeans and t shirts etc..

  2. some people might think you are upstaging them but i say do it.

cant get fired for dressing nice

id suggest khakis and polo shirts, stuff like that. u dont want a rep as the party pooper…but if it means ALOT to u, do it. i used to dress as a secretary when i was a driver, my choice. the secretary dressed like a driver, go figure?
