Who thinks the term ‘Climate Change’ is a trick by liberal environmentalists to line Al Gore’s pockets?
Filed under Million Green IdeasApr 30Question by Felonious Monkey: Who thinks the term ‘Climate Change’ is a trick by liberal environmentalists to line Al Gore’s pockets?
This seems to be the prevailing opinion among most conservatives – that the entire environmental community spontaneously decided to change the term just so they could trick people into supporting their legislation. As if there couldn’t POSSIBLY be another reason.Never mind the fact that corporate lobbyists spend millions every year opposing environmental legislation which would result in increased labor costs or increases in the cost of managing waste. Most conservatives never seem to notice that profit angle – they only see the Al Gore profit angle.

How can the Intelligent Designers and Climate Change Deniers synergise?
Filed under Million Green IdeasApr 28Question by Polar Bear: How can the Intelligent Designers and Climate Change Deniers synergise?
I’ve noticed that with the cluster-**** by those proudly in denial of the science of climate change seems to have coincided with fewer answers reminding us that evolution is “just” a theory. If indeed there is some overlap between these two groups, what strategy can they adapt to fulfill both bile quotas concurrently?
Adopt, even.Best answer:
Answer by Pete V
B4 I start, can you say ‘synergise’ again please? I’m not sure what it means, but it made me laugh out loud!Creationists [who I believe alarmists hijacked the word "denier" from] will never agree with CC “deniers” or alarmists because both sides use data gathered from times prior to the biblical creation. Maybe we can call them the “new deniers”?
The ID crowd would have to blame God because they were intelligently designed and therefore wouldn’t do something as dumb as killing our planet, even if they were capable.
Us “skeptics” blame mother nature & accept it.
Alarmists are so conceited that they think THEY are powerful enough to affect our climate riding roughshod over God or Mother Nature….Man, I wouldn’t like to meet an alarmist in a dark alley, they must be pretty mean!

Question by Kevin D: How is North Korea sensitive to the effects of climate change?
How is North Korea sensitive to the effects and consequences of climate change and what aspects of the climate change issue would harm and would possibly benefit it?Best answer:
Answer by Nickola Tesla is my hero
N Korea is a poverty stricken cesspool. They couldn’t react to some ginned up Western crisis if they wanted to. Why do you think China put up a wall? To keep the N Koreans in their own country. They might get money from the Copenhagen treaty if anyone is foolish enough to sign it.
