Q&A: How can i build a large solar panel for my home in country like Pakistan?
Filed under Million Green IdeasMar 29Question by noofyourbusiness: How can i build a large solar panel for my home in country like Pakistan?
I am very interested in making solar panels in Karachi, Pakistan. But cant figure out where i get solar cells? If there is some DIY methods please tell me.Best answer:
Answer by Bedouin
I’m not sure a country like Pakistan would have the components to make your own solar panels; you may have to look on the net for it with a local search. Otherwise you may be better off to look at a completed panel which will save you money in the long term. Don’t forget you will need a voltage controller so you don’t overload the battery.Add your own answer in the comments!

How climate-change might hurt one industry, particular region, or country but help another?
Filed under Million Green IdeasFeb 19Question by JK: How climate-change might hurt one industry, particular region, or country but help another?
What is the climate-change problem? How climate-change might hurt one industry, particular region, or country but help another? Which of the two strategies do you think would have the most political support in an election in your home state – carbon-tax or a cap-and-trade strategy ?Best answer:
Answer by davem
Both the carbon tax and cap-and-trade schemes are useless tax grabs by governments, and do nothing at all to change climate. That’s a good thing, because the climate changes naturally and we shouldn’t try to interfere. The idea that man is behind climate change is stupid. It was started by some creepy left-wing politicians and poor-quality scientists who should be silenced.Add your own answer in the comments!

Q&A: What is the percentage of alternative energy sources in your country?
Filed under Million Green IdeasFeb 16Question by Eleni del Egeo: What is the percentage of alternative energy sources in your country?
Are alternative power sources (solar energy, wind power, etc) popular in your country?
What is the percentage of their use?Best answer:
Answer by campbelp2002
On the order of 1% in the U.S. In some states, like California and Texas it is higher, but still less than 5%. I am not counting hydroelectric power in that because it is a traditional source, although totally renewable.According to the source below, Denmark gets almost 20% of its electricity from wind.
What do you think? Answer below!
