Why does Al Gore tell us to use less energy and then use 30 times what we do himself?
Filed under Million Green IdeasMay 14Question by bestanswersinchicago: Why does Al Gore tell us to use less energy and then use 30 times what we do himself?
Why does Al Gore tell us all to use less energy and he doesn’t do it himself. His house uses something like 30 times the amount of energy as the average household and he flies all over in his private jet putting off more pollution than 10 of our Hummers in a year but yet he’s so concerned about the environment. If he were that concerned wouldn’t he be doing this stuff himself? Btw, global warming is a sham.
First off I don’t belive your fact about 90% of scientist but lets say it’s true. There is no scientific evidence that provies global warming is true. At one time 100% of scientists thought the world was flat, how did that one turn out again?

Famous quotes arguing against the use of alternative energy sources?
Filed under Million Green IdeasMay 10Question by James Booth: Famous quotes arguing against the use of alternative energy sources?
I am writing a research paper and I need a good hooking sentence, preferably a quote. My topic is the argument against using alternative energy sources to fossil fuels since they are just too expensive and unreliable. Are there any notable quotes that would help help me argue my point? ThanksBest answer:

what are some positive, negative, economy, and environment effects of nuclear fusion? and what could go wrong with using it as an alternative energy source?Best answer:
Answer by dooberheim
It’s hard to say, because other than tests of hydrogen bombs, no one has made enough energy from it to use as an alternative energy source.Potentially:
Positive: Incredible energy density, using materials considerably more common than needed for fission. Radioactive wastes are less, and more benign than with fission.
Negative: Extremely tech intensive, and poorly developed. Likely not to yield significant energy for decades (if ever). It will also be very expensive, but this may also improve with further research.

Why did Bob Barr praise Al Gore? Can you believe Barr said Gore energy plans were very good?
Filed under Million Green IdeasMay 8Question by I love Obama: Why did Bob Barr praise Al Gore? Can you believe Barr said Gore energy plans were very good?
In 10 years a lot can happen, but I truly doubt we will be using solar power in the majority of homes and businesses. It just sounds like a bunch of pandering. I want to build me a solar power home with a rain water filter, I would love to live off the grid. So, I put my money where my mouth was and bought stocks in a solar power company and …. they went out of business. Al Gore is pandering and I can not believe anyone would vote for Barr after this.Best answer:

Funny, next time buy stock in a solar power company that works in the sunshine state or any other southwest state. They are doing more business and growing faster than they can handle.

Question by Major Tom: Do you like this new form of alternative energy?
As a geography major, I’ve done extensive research on alternative energy. I have a new idea called “rain power.” I think we should instill rooftop generators incorporated into rainwater collection. Rain falls diagonally rather than straight. Therefore, the terminal velocity from the raindrops could spin these turbines and generate electricity. Monsoon Season in Asia would be fantastic for producing it. The same is true regarding hurricane season in the Gulf Coast and rainy season in the Pacific Northwest. What do you think? Do we have the brain power to harness rain power?Best answer:
