Question by MBC-Mack: I’m an MBA student interested in marketing alternative energy technology, where are the jobs?

I’m an MBA student in New York City looking for a marketing internship in alternative energy, especially in emerging technology. I’ve been searching the web and have found a few leads, but I need more help. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice for me?

    Answer by ywirasin
I’m a current Kellogg student and am facing a similar issue. Just a few findings – there are organizations that are helping increase the adoption and the utilization of renewable energy, such as CommunityEnergy. However, a colleague of mine suggested that if you want to really see work on alternative energy, join a large energy company and work in the renewable energy group. I believe your best bet will be in Texas, particularly Houston. If you’re looking for international developments, look at operations in SE Asia. I hope that helps.

Question by Mrs.Carter: what are two cons of alternative energy?

I am stumped I don’t know what two cons of alternative energy. Can someone help me with this?

    Best answer:

    Answer by rusted_gut
Expensive ( the reason why we are still using coal power)
Not efficient (Sun power rarely converts energy above 27%, 73% energy is lost)
New unproven tecnology (difficult to mass preduce)

Can look bad,(wind farms, solar farms) but a field of dry weat can look bad aswell/

All in all, its not really cons, but thats why we are not using enough of it

Question by SYDNEY 2055: Why do people believe the government can create alternative energy?

Instead of begging the government to create alternative energy, we should all get enginneering degrees and develope alternative energy ourselves. We might tragically learn that its harder than the movies and activists make it out to be.

Nothing worth achieving is ever easy. But the government can be a significant impetus. It was a government project, after all, theat produced the first A-bomb.

Question by Sam d: What is the most used alternative energy source?

im doing a project on alternative energy sources and i need to know if solar energy is the most used

    Best answer:

    Answer by Harmony19
A lot of solar energy is used for heating water and drying solid agro products. But when trying to calculate the energy produced it is not accurate since the use is so widespread and there is no accurate way of collecting all the data. On this account I think wind energy is the most used. This is because wind energy is normally connected to a electricity generator and hence the power produced is accounted for and all the data are collated. Hope it is clear enough to understand.

Part 3 of 3. The complete press conference to introduce the Bloom Energy Electric Server concluded with a half-hour Q&A session. There were significant problems with the house audio system, so the audio here is bad. But you can still hear almost everything and the information is fascinating.

Question by mbush40: Those who are only for alternative energy vehicles, how do you replace 220 million?

In less time than it would take to produce more gas. I would think an oil refinery would take the same time to build as a alternative energy refinery would and have the same effects on the environment. Your thoughts?

    Answer by WannaHug?
we need nuclear to juice the electricity & barack won’t let us start building them
