Question by Roy: I wonder, why has Al Gore failed to show up with the disaster of the BP oil spill?


Al Gore has always been quick to point out any danger to the ecosystem (The Inconvenient Truth); so why has it been a little to convenient for him to stay quiet about the BP mess? I can see him rallying for change in how we drill for oil…but Mr Gore is nowhere to be seen. Why?

Question by Fly In the Ointment: Do you think the Climate Change deniers will once again show their ignorance with all the snow?


Since Fox News personalities like Hannity and Beck point to the snow as evidence against climate change, they obviously have no idea what that is. The term Global Warming is technically correct but you see this may confuse those with less education, and they will point out the fact that since it snows it “can’t be Global Warming”. They are completely uneducated to what Global Warming or the better term Climate Change, really is. Could these same people be the ones who think “Cross Hairs” are surveyors marks?

yeah record snow in states where they haven’t gotten snow in 20 years is because of the warming of the earth thanks for showing your ignorance please i would love you to educate me of the myth on global warming it’s ironic you post no facts to prove your argument.

I would like info on how to go about contacting former V.P. Al Gore about bringing his slide show on global warming to my town in NJ.

Note that you won’t get Gore personally. Hundreds of people have been trained to do the slide show, so you’ll get one of those.

EDIT – I also like the suggestion just below for using a scientist instead. Not so much the debate – to accurately represent the situation you’d have to make it 100:1, making it 1 on 1 would be a unacceptably gross distortion of the views of the scientific community.

I think the presentation would have more appeal to a wide audience coming from a scientist, although clearly “Gore’s stuff” is a sales pitch that will draw some people.

Is this why tornadoes are so rare in big cities? Is it something about all the big buildings and congestion? Almost everytime they show a tornado its always in the middle of no where in a corn field somewhere. What causes most big tornadoes to stay away from the city?
