What college degree should I get for someone who loves nature, the environment, and animals?
Filed under More Green IdeasJul 28I want to do something the relates to animals, the environment, or nature, but I don’t know what degree I should get that has a good job outlook. Like for example, it is much easier to find jobs relating to computers, nursing, or business stuff, but not so much environmentalist or zoologist.

You should choose what you love – your passion will get your through. And the environment is a hot topic these days. You could try Environmental Science, Animal Science or Recreation, Parks and Tourism. Maybe balance that with a minor in Marketing or Public Relations. You know that many companies will be hiring people to make sure they are following government regulations! Also, many Universities have “University Studies” degrees that let you blend 2 areas of study into one degree plan, so contact some admissions counselors and ask questions.

I agree with the user above. Just go with your passion. But Biology is a good start so you can understand animals better. You can also find online resources so you can arm yourself with the knowledge needed in order to help the environment. If you’re planning to make a career out of it, then it is a good idea to get a course related to it. But you can help the environment in a lot of ways so really think about if this is something that you want to go into. For example, recycling is a good way to help the environment and animals and you can do it today if you decide to.

There are many online sites that offer you a list of colleges and universities, but most of them are paid.

Just complete their questions and they will accept you.Enter: http://FindTopEdu.info

My son is a Sophomore and on the Tennis Team. (High School)
His doubles partner graduated this year and is taking Wildlife Science at Hocking College in Ohio.
He plans on being a forest Ranger or DNR Officer when he gets his degree.
Sounds like an admirable goal to me.Good Luck
