What college major would be good for the natural environment?
Filed under More Green IdeasAug 27I love nature and its beauty. The mountains, lake, oceans, plains, and everything else in the world amaze me how much nature is valuable to us. The thing about my question is just asking for a opinion on what is a great college major that would be good for natural environment. By the way I am a sophomore at high school, but I am just planning on what is a good future for me. Also I love to film nature at times, which seem filming can be one choice… I think.

chemical engineering, agriculture and/or forestry, photography, biology…or become a pilot, i know working for the forest service was a lot of fun…and hard work, but these are my best guesses right off the top of my head

It depends on what you want to do! As you suggested, some kind of filmography or journalism school could be useful, if you want to record events and share with the public! I’m currently a senior in wildlife & conservation biology, so I’m focusing on conserving the environment and protecting wildlife species, etc. There are other majors that deal with more chemistry-related things, such as water and soil quality. You could even do something political, so that you can be involved with government decisions, such as writing legislation…honestly, it’s up to you and what you want to do!
